You’ll never work alone

Confusion reigns in Liverpool, where plans for a new stadium in Stanley Park for Liverpool Football Club are up in the air, despite work having tentatively started on site

The club has planning permission for two designs – both about to expire – by AFL and HKS respectively. But neither firm appears to know which project has been started.

Adding to the confusion, the club is also reported to be pursuing plans to redevelop its current home at Anfield. A spokesman for Liverpool FC declined a request to provide clarity, saying: ‘The club is currently examining all the options open to it.’ Quite.
