Will Alsop's fancy dress party

  • Comment

Unusual news from the forthcoming London Festival of Architecture (19 June-4 July)

On 19 June, Will Alsop will dress up as Regency architect John Nash and, accompanied by the Grand Old Duke of York, will make his way along the 2km stretch between Regent’s Park and St James’ Park - known as the ‘Nash Ramblas’ (copyright Terry Farrell).

Arriving at their destination, All Souls on Langham Place, Alsop will lay a wreath on the bust of Nash outside the church.

The Grand Old Duke of York (who knew he was still around?) will then march up to the top of Primrose Hill and march down again.

You can explore Nash’s greatest works with the Nash Ramblas app for the iPhone, available from www.lfa2010.org
