Week 2 in Harvard!

Posted by:

25 June, 2009

My 2nd week in Harvard has been eventful - firstly I accidently spilled my water over my mobile phone, which in turn has erased my photographs which I had taken in Boston :( - emphasise why I have not yet added any photographs!

We also got our 2nd assisgnment this week, which involved making 19 cubes-3 times - it was a painstaking process, especially when you are making them at 11pm! But the end result was good and worth the effort.

The project we have is to design a shared house for 2 different families and we have a real site in Boston with planning restrictions etc to adhere too. We have to take into consideration the human relationships the families would have with the architectural space and also the reason behind the shared space and what function this could be used for.

Todays drawing lecture was great and my favourite component was the animation video production of "the battery" copenhagen project - - I found this most interesting as it incorporated computer graphics and animation which I had studied previously and it was interesting to see how architecture and graphics can be combined to create these projects.

Just about to have a "Domino's" pizza now - brain food - ha!
