Peter Murray of Wordsearch, also speaking at the small-practices conference, did an effective demolition job on the pretensions of architects’ websites, their use of tedious flash introductions and reams of meaningless ‘archispeak’. He reserved especial scorn for one practice’s statement that ‘We enjoy sensitive contextual insertions,’ saying that it sounded as if it belonged in an Ann Summers catalogue.
