Trust in RMJM

  • Comment

The Commonwealth Education Trust (formerly the Commonwealth Institute) was one of the last occupants of the landmark 1962 RMJM building on Kensington High Street.

The building had effectively been empty since 2002, until OMA and developer Chelsfield won the go-ahead for a controversial revamp of the site last year. But what of the trust? Intriguingly, the organisation has set up home in the 1959 New Zealand House (pictured below) – another modernist gem by RMJM’s founder Robert Matthew.
