The Architects' Journal has been shortlisted for 4 PPA awards and the BSME Rising Stars awards

The Architects’ Journal has been shortlisted for PPA Editor of the Year, Writer of the Year, plus two nominations for Designer of the Year for the 2013 PPA Awards, as well as a BSME Rising Stars award for AJ iPad designer Ella Mackinnon.

The Architects’ Journal has been shortlisted for four awards in the prestigious PPA Awards, among the most coveted awards in publishing.

AJ editor Christine Murray has been shortlisted for Editor of the Year, with deputy editor Rory Olcayto in the running for Writer of the Year. For the second year in a row, art editor Brad Yendle will be battling it out for Designer of the Year against AJ Specification designer Tom Carpenter. Both were shortlisted for the same award in 2012.

In addition to the PPA Awards, designer Ella Mackinnon is shortlisted for a BSME Rising Stars award for her work on the AJ iPad edition. The youngest member of the AJ team, Mackinnon was also shortlisted for a PPA New Talent award.

The five nominations add to a string of shortlistings and accolades for the AJ, which scooped the IBP Magazine of the Year award in 2012.

The winners of the PPA Awards will be announced on 19 June, while the BSME Rising Stars Awards take place on 3 June.
