Of course there are "sacred cows" and we all know who they are. And they have been fattened by years of exorbitant salaries and benefits at the expense of the architects they have not paid.

Finally RIBA is investigating the facts - not allegations - of this ongoing unethical practice. All RIBA needs to do is ask any and all of the hundreds of former employees, clients and consultants who have had dealings with them. Not to mention they can look into the vast number of governmental and legal claims and actions set forth against them - from Hong Kong, to the US, from Dubai to Moscow. Not a witch-hunt, just justice.
This happens to the weak and deficient in character when they don't have the guts to stand up and act honorably.

Its not a shame to see them go down this road, its justice for their actions. What they need to finagle themselves into is talent or integrity. The "war room" they might have been using to plan how not to pay people and the "bunker" they might have been hiding in may soon be exchanged for a jail cell. This is not due to a brutal global economy.
Since the owners / management know little about architecture or running a business (as has been demonstrated), all they can contribute is trying to put out these self-created fires. How undignified to pursue Kristin Taylor for their costs after not paying her salary. But then again, they don't know how to do anything else but these types of actions.
