A new report by bere:architects sets out six areas of practical guidance for architects needing to achieve high levels of airtightness.

Here is an outline of what you will find in the report:

1. Detailing airtightness

This section of the guide highlights the key points architects and designers must take into account when producing air tightness details, and includes some useful working drawings. The guide stresses that an ‘overall strategy for airtightness should be developed and details designed for buildability’.

2. Air tests

3. Responsibility

This final section will be useful for anyone needing to specify products for a Passivhaus or energy efficient project.
