Zero Carbon Britain
When 16 July
The Centre for Alternative Technology is launching its third Zero Carbon Britain report. The last report launched in 2010, and since then the economic situation has worsened, negotiations on climate change have stalled, and the need for mitigation is becoming a more pressing issue.
Future proofing cities

This event, held in collaboration between Atkins and Women in Sustainable Construction & Property (WSCP) will look at how we future proof cities against rapid urbanisation.

The first lecture in the BRE Perspectives series will focus on what it takes to achieve BREEAM Outstanding, and will include presentations for AHMM on their designs for the Google HQ at King’s Cross.

Held as part of ‘The Engineering Club’, this talk looks at the viability of offshore renewables. Seamus Garvey, professor at the University of Nottingham, will look at the obstacles to significant use of offshore renewables and the alternative approaches.
