A debate entitled ‘This house believes we don’t need big planning to transform the city’ will look at whether big plans are still relevant to large and complex cities or whether we should be looking to small scale interventions. Speakers will include Cany Ash of Ash Sakula and Peter West of Studio Egret West.
National self build week

Launched at Grand Designs Live national self build week aims to raise the profile of self build. A number of events are being held across the UK, including an open day at Castle Ring Wood in South Wales, events run by Leeds City Council and seminars in Cumbria.
