Call for entries: UK Passivhaus Awards

The Passivhaus Trust is on the hunt for the best Passivhaus projects of the past year

Now in their second year, the UK Passivhaus Awards are now open for entries.

The awards aim to highlight those pioneering Passivhaus building in the UK.

The 2013 awards are hoping to gather data on performance of UK Passivhaus building and demonstrate their health and wellbeing, energy saving and sustainability potential. Performance data for at least one winter and one summer is a requirement of the awards submission.

There are three categories for the awards; private housing, social housing, and non-domestic.

AJ sustainability editor Hattie Hartman will be joined on the judging panel by Nick Grant, technical director of the Passivhaus Trust, John Bootland, chief executive of the Passivhaus Trust, and Lynne Sullivan founder of Sustainable BY Design.

The entry deadline is the 15 May and shortlisted projects will be announced on 3 June.
