Distinctive feature: Studio-based programme using digital media and technologies for sustainable urban design and regeneration projects exploring physical and virtual realities. Funded research such as SURegen (EPSRC) and Intelcities (EC Framework) will directly inform the programme and students will gain applicable knowledge of urban data collection and analysis including the use of advance digital tools in urban design.
Career opportunities: Opportunities will be available in a range of careers which require specialist knowledge of urban design, including architecture, urban/town planning and regeneration.
Entry requirements:
- Degree in architecture or urban planning, minimum 2.2 honours, with either exemption from RIBA Part 1 or meeting graduate membership benchmark of other relevant institution
- Candidates wishing to achieve RTPI recognition require minimum 3 years work experience
- Applicants appropriately experienced in urban planning or architecture will be considered in line with the
university’s APL procedure
- Interview prior to acceptance
- Candidates whose first language is not English must also satisfy the University’s English language requirements
