Distinctive feature: This course promotes the development of skills to design professionals to design / retrofit the built environment responding to current pressures for more sustainable outcomes, including performance simulation for the reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions. The programme explores the use of digital technologies such as BIM and performance simulation tools in the different stages of a building lifecycle.
Career opportunities: Highly skilled graduates are required to deliver the sustainable building design projects of the future. A wide range of career opportunities will be possible in architecture, architectural design, building services, civil/structural engineering, construction and surveying among others.
- a minimum second class undergraduate honours degree in Architecture, Architectural Design Technology or environmental design;
- a minimum second class undergraduate honours degree in other built environment discipline, or
- a recognised professional qualification in a cognate discipline.
- International students must provide evidence of proficiency in English - IELTS 6.0 with no band below 5.5 or an equivalent qualification are proof of this.
