Distinctive feature: Combines the principles of environmental protection with the planning of quality places, including transportation requirements and statutory land-use planning. The programme, with its focus on ‘sustainable planning and design’ is unique in that it allows students to work closely with the real-life challenges encountered by developers and local authorities.
Director’s comment: The discipline of Town and Regional Planning at the university is part of the School of the Environment whilst including the disciplines of architecture and environmental sciences. This provides an excellent platform of support for multi-disciplinary learning.
