Distinctive feature: Focus on planning, spatial analysis, urban design in sustainable communities and vibrant public place, and spatial relationships to improve social and economic wellbeing of people and the environment.

Director’s comment: This is one of a new suite of postgraduate courses aimed at the next generation of sustainability informed professionals. Students from the different pathways work together around key issues concerning the economy, society and the environment.

Career opportunities: The programme is designed to be career enhancing - built environment professionals with an understanding of how the sustainability agenda interfaces with professional practice have an increasingly competitive advantage.

Entry requirements:
- A good honours degree or equivalent in any discipline
- An aptitude for design work and design appreciation through previous study or via practical experience
- We also welcome applications from mature applicants with proven relevant professional experience and international students
- Students whose first language is not English will need to meet the University’s required level of competence for postgraduate study - please contact the course administrator for details of necessary EFL/IELTS qualifications
