6. PR – many industry and local journalists use twitter to help them find stories. Twitter helps them check you out before they ring.

7. Events – launch, promote, recruit, attend, live tweet and follow up your events on twitter. Meet and keep in touch with delegates.

8. Network Locally – find and connect local influencers, and show your expertise about local architectural issues. Identify the right people to speak to swiftly and discretely.

9. Find collaborators – like-minded people will find you easily on twitter, or you can go and find them.

10. Recruit – use the self-selecting nature of twitter to help the right candidates find you. Link to your vacancies and have them shared for free.

11. Measure – track the effects of your use of twitter. Find out what works and do it again.

12. Be human – strangers will know if you will be the best architect for them. They are more confident to get in touch.
