Sustainable flooring solutions explored in Forbo’s Linoleum CPD Seminar

Forbo Flooring Systems offers a RIBA certified CPD Seminar entitled “The Performance, Environmental Impact and Life Cycle Analysis of Linoleum” which enables specifiers to explore the environmental credentials and longlasting durability of this exceptionally sustainable and versatile flooring solution.

Offering high quality, durable floor coverings that not only enhance the interior environment but also answer today’s ecological concerns, Forbo is the world’s leading supplier of linoleum, a floor covering which has been made from natural materials such as linseed oil, rosin, wood flour and jute for over 150 years. A perfect fit with sustainable building projects, the company’s market leading linoleum brand, Marmoleum, has 97% natural raw materials, 72% of which are rapidly renewable and 43% recycled content. Marmoleum boasts twelve independently awarded eco-labels, including the Nature Plus, Nordic Swan and Blue Angel marks and Cradle to Cradle accreditation.

At this CPD seminar attendees find out more about the independent life cycle assessment methodology and life cycle cost of linoleum and the product’s performance and design. They also see how the durability, cleanability and maintenance properties of Marmoleum have been enhanced with the introduction of Topshield2, a completely new and reformulated surface finish. Through the use of inspirational case studies the CPD seminar also demonstrates how Forbo’s linoleum floorcoverings have been used to great effect in many different settings across the health, education, retail, commercial and hospitality and leisure sectors.
