Rockpanel Chameleon is a durable panel material that has been specifically developed for creating colour effects in rainscreen cladding. The direction of light causes a change of colour depending on the angle from which the panel is viewed

The durable Rockpanel boards combine the workability of wood with all the desirable properties and advantages of stone: easy to work, resistant to the elements, fire-safe, fully recyclable and low maintenance. The boards meet key safety standards for building projects and fit within developments requiring either passive house to zero-carbon related materials.

Rockpanel is part of Rockwool International and produces sustainable panel material made from basalt. By using Rockpanel boards, you are in line with modern architectural trends, such as layering and organic shapes, while not losing sight of cost issues and installation time. Rockpanel products combine all the benefits of stone and wood and fit seamlessly within sustainable developments. For many years, Rockpanel board material has been used in many different countries for finishing facades and for details and features around the roof. Usually, they are applied in ventilated constructions, where the products contribute to a healthy indoor climate for any housing, production, or non-residential/non-civil environment.

Rockpanel Chameleon comes complete with a crystal layer, which gives a unique pearlescent effect when viewed from different perspectives. As the sun moves throughout the day, light refracts from the face of the panel giving the unique ‘Chameleon’ effect. It is available in light grey, grey, green and blue.
