GKD - The Pearl of Peking: The Chinese National Grand Theatre
5,400 square metres of golden metal mesh façade by GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG make Beijing’s Opera House a splendorous venue for international cultural events.
The building’s colonnades are clad in Xinghai, a special blended mesh with aluminium weft and stainless steel warp anodised in two gold tones. The weft wires of the façade panels were woven together in random colour combinations.
