GKD - The New York Times they are A-Changin’
Constructed in 1913, the famous New York Times Building, home of the renowned correspondent newspaper until 2007, has been through a lot of changes in its history. Recently the so called “Old Gray Lady’s” interior design has been spruced up with some custom garments.
Created by Montreal-based architects Andres Escobar & Associates these consist of the stainless steel meshes Omega 1500 and PC-Omega 1500 by GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG. The durable, nearly maintenance free design meshes, which were fixed (extremely) close to the walls, clad the interior building lobby walls surrounding the elevator shafts. The decorative architectural mesh imprints its cool elegance to the stately entrance area.
