GKD clads “World’s Furthest Leaning Manmade Tower”
Not yet finished and already an awardee: Being certified by Guinness World Records, Abu Dhabi’s Capital Gate is becoming a media celebrity.
Having an incline of 18 degrees westwards the 160 metreavant-garde building is leaning four times further than the Tower of Pisa. The Capital Gate has also the so far highest façade cladding in the Arabian area, which consists of 4915 sqm stainless steel mesh type Tigris by GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG. In the heat of the desert area, the classy design mesh offers effective sun protection. It impresses with its little weight and almost unlimited malleability.
