Forbo Shares Carpet Tile Expertise in CPD Seminar

With its CPD entitled “Specifying Carpet Tiles for the Modern Commercial Environment” Forbo offers flooring specifiers the opportunity to look in depth at this increasingly popular style of floor covering and enhance their knowledge of manufacturing methods, advances in construction, new design opportunities and all relevant environmental considerations.

The RIBA certified seminar, one of seven now offered by Forbo,  is designed to enable professionals to make more informed decisions and appropriate product choices when faced with the plethora of different ‘contract quality’ carpet tiles available in the market place.

The session covers the different yarn types used in tile manufacture and considers the latest advances in manufacturing technology such as the introduction of Infinity tufting machinery.  It explores the full range of carpet tile constructions available, from low level loop pile to luxury fusion bonded and the most sophisticated textured and random lay and batchless carpet tiles. These different styles can all be found in the Westbond and Tessera carpet tile portfolios from Forbo.

Seminar attendees will review various environmental ‘credentials’ pertinent to floor coverings in commercial buildings such as BREEAM accreditation, ISO 14001 certification, The Green Label Plus Scheme, LEED and involvement with Carpet Recycling UK (CRUK).

At the end of the seminar attendees should have gained a much deeper insight into the specification of carpet tiles in commercial environments and be able to assess the product offer, performance and credentials of suppliers with full confidence.
