Ecophon ceiling solutions helps revitalise council buildings

Using acoustic ceiling systems from Ecophon, one of the Midlands’ largest social housing providers has created a truly accessible resource centre for its tenants within its main administrative building

By utilising products from the range of Ecophon has helped create a stylish ceiling as part of a comfortable interior environment.

Aesthetics were a top priority for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s architects when it came to converting tired reception and administrative areas into its smart new ‘drop in centre’ at the council offices in Oldbury.

Reverberation was not a concern but aesthetic appearance was a driving factor as the council wanted to give the place a total overhaul and facelift.  The system selected by Sandwell was Ecophon’s Gedina, providing a highly robust solution, very good noise attenuation as well as crisp lines.
