Alucobond: Fascinating Surfaces – Iridiscent And Inspiring
3A Composites launches a new generation of ALUCOBOND spectra® colours and enlarges the range with the new ALUCOBOND® sparkling colours.
Throughout history, mankind has had an enduring appreciation of colour. From the discovery of organic purple dyes before 1900 B.C to the development of colour TV and movies after 1900 A.D, the world we live in is saturated in colour.
ALUCOBOND® spectra & sparkling colours celebrate the natural colour shifts that occur in materials that affect everyday life: The subtle nuances and colour contrasts found readily in nature, the glowing luster and sheen in modern metals and the colour shifts found in today’s luxury goods. With the next generation of the well-known ALUCOBOND spectra® colours the range is now enlarged with the colours Galaxy Blue, White Gold, Midnight Copper, Desert Gold und Lava Red.
The fascination of the colour changing surfaces of ALUCOBOND® spectra colours arises through the same principals as natural colour shifting surfaces. Depending upon the pigment type and viewing angle, different wave lengths of light are reflected back to the audience resulting in an ever-changing colour gradient. The new series ALUCOBOND® sparkling colours - Galactic Sparkle – is catching through bright sparkling and shining effects and thus provides a subtle and elegant impression with a deep effect to the façade.
Colour conveys emotion, it inspires and motivates.
With ALUCOBOND® spectra & sparkling colours, architects can create a truly memorable experience that will fascinate the audience and provide a lasting personal impression.
The influence of both colour series on the impression of the façade evokes emotions. Through the movement respectively a change of the light incidence the whole look-and-feel of the building is altering, the plasticity of rolling or curved parts of the façade is pointed out. The darker the base colour of the spectra colours, the stronger is the effect.
The numerous possibilities of fabricating ALUCOBOND® into plane, angled or round forms interacting with the new surfaces evoke extraordinary or contained and elegant building envelopes. The proven features of ALUCOBOND® such as flatness, rigidity and weather resistance provide a remaining aesthetic image of the façade. The use of high-quality Fluorocarbon paint systems applied in a continuous coil-coating process ensures that the original design isn’t compromised.
