3a Composites Sets New Standard With Fire Retardant Core Of Alucobond® Plus Aluminium Composite Panels
More than ever buildings of the future do not only have to comply with the highest demands on design; they also have to meet the latest technical requirements such as sustainability, energy efficiency or fire protection - especially lately, when news about burning façades have been all over the press.
3A Composites therefore sets new standards for their well-known ALUCOBOND® aluminium composite panel with a fire retardant core.
ALUCOBOND®plus has been developed exclusively for the higher requirements of the fire regulations in architecture. Due to its mineral-filled core ALUCOBONDplus meets the stricter requirements of the fire classifications and is rated Class 0 tested according to BS 476-6/7.
In addition, 3A Composites offers a non-combustible aluminium composites material, called ALUCOBOND® A2. Due to its mineral core, it is the only non-combustible material used in architecture that fulfills the respective standards worldwide. In the United Kingdom for example, ALUCOBOND® A2 meets the requirements of LUL, tested according to BS 6853. It is therefore the ideal material for all areas where fire protection plays an important role – be it for high-rise or industrial buildings, public buildings, hospitals, hotels, tunnels or underground stations.
Both products offer all the proven product properties of the ALUCOBOND® family, such as flatness, formability, resistance to weather and simple processing.
Moreover, ALUCOBOND®plus and A2 are fully recyclable, i.e. both the core material and the aluminium cover sheets can be used in the production of new material. They are available both with solid and metallic colours, ALUCOBOND®spectra & sparkling colours, ALUCOBOND®naturAL as well as Anodized Look.
