Museum of London’s modern revamp

Contemporary reception desk installed at Grade I-listed building

Renovation work at the Museum of London has seen the lobby of the Grade I-listed building in London’s Docklands fitted with a contemporary reception desk.

The curved desk, part of Isomi’s Mono collection, was made from modules bonded on site to create a 16m² reception area. Paul Crofts, designer at Isomi, said: ‘The desk was made to a short lead-time of just six weeks and installed on site. We were also able to accommodate specific design challenges, such as fitting the desk around one of the wooden support posts.’
