Knauf AMF - Thermatex ceiling tiles

For further information please click here

The investment in one of the most advanced production plants in Europe is proving to be a sound one for Knauf AMF, as the company now has an innovative ceiling tile. Thermatex Alpha is the latest product in the AMF range,
and is the first ceiling tile to be constructed from a wet-felt mineral. This offers clear advantages over a low-density mineral or glass wool in both handling and installation. The AMF Thermatex Alpha tile is aimed at locations where the highest performance of acoustics is required, for example schools and open-plan offices. It can substantially reduce reverberation times in rooms, with consequent benefits of noise reduction and good speech intelligibility. School classrooms, meeting halls, restaurants and commercial offices can all benefit from this kind of acoustic control. As well as its acoustic performance, the Thermatex tile is also designed to be aesthetically pleasing, with a smooth, white design, giving 80 per cent light reflection in a 600 x 600mm format. It is available with either straight or recessed tile edges. The Thermatex Alpha tile provides Class A Sound Absorption to BS EN ISO 354, and offers 120minutes’ fire-protection. It can also be specified with Hygena treatment to suit areas where a higher degree of hygiene is required.
