Jablite awarded £20,000 to develop insulation product

DECC awards Jablite funds to develop insulation for non domestic properties

Jablite has been awarded almost £20,000 by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to develop a new insulation product for non-domestic properties.

The first design phase will see the product, based on Jablite’s Dynamic insulation for domestic builds, through to its initial design.

Jablite partnered with the London Borough of Bexley for the competition, and if funding is awarded for phase two of the project, then the new product will be trialled in a non-domestic building in the borough.

Richard Lee, managing director of Jablite said: ‘We are very pleased to have this funding to invest in further design and modification of our Dynamic external wall insulation to make it suitable for use on non-domestic properties.’ He added: ‘We have a lot of work to do now, as we want to put in a strong bid for Phase 2 funding which will enable us to conduct a full scale, trial project on an office block owned by the London Borough of Bexley and to monitor the performance of the installed installation system.’
