This exciting new building is Roundwood Youth Centre

Which provides deprived young people in the Brent area of London with a much needed social, leisure and training facility. Designed by Saunders Boston working with concept and planning designers Mace, it’s a wonderful example of how the areas of translucent Kalwall have been maximised to diffuse daylighting without glare or shadows while minimising heat loss, saving energy costs and, of course, to maintain privacy. Kalwall is the most highly insulating diffuse light transmitting cladding and skylighting system. An increased ‘U’ value of 0.28W/m2K, equivalent to a solid wall, is possible when Lumira aerogel is added within the panels. Our website case studies throw daylight on many different projects!
