The importance of ‘Sustainable Construction’ has seen the resurgence of the Green Roof. In London alone there have been over 500,000sqm of Green Roof installed during the past 5 years. This level of growth is already accelerating on a nationwide scale.
The benefits of Green Roofs are self evident: enhanced biodiversity, fuel/energy savings, & extended roof life to name but a few. It is possible to enhance a Green Roof’s ‘Green Credentials’ further by letting ABG design a bespoke system.
ABG’s Green Roof System is produced in the UK and tailored to the UK climate. The components are manufactured, sourced and grown in the UK and where possible are high in recycled content. The drainage/water retention element can be designed to help significantly reduce requirements for storm-water drainage systems, whilst the vegetation can be tailored to attain the maximum number of BREEAM points available.
