Corus Panels and Profiles has launched its revolutionary SuperDeck composite flat roofing system in a new depth of 100mm to help the battle against climate change.

Combining composite panel technology with environmentally friendly IPS Rubberfuse waterproofing membranes, SuperDeck is a cost-effective solution for flat-roof construction.

SuperDeck 100mm has been specified for the first time by J Sainsbury as part of an expansion to the existing Upton food store in Worcestershire. The new composite roofing system will be used to extend the store from more than 7,000m2 to more than 9,000m2 and was selected due to Sainsbury’s strong commitment to sustainable development.

The SuperDeck 100mm will be installed in just seven days at the Upton site. The roofing system will be pre-assembled at Corus Panels and Profiles’ factory, then delivered to site using a Just-in-Time system. Refurbishment contractor, Dean Construction (part of the Dean Group), will install the lightweight structure in 6m-long sections that will be welded together.

It will take less than five days to install SuperDeck 100mm, compared to four or five weeks to deliver a built up system under the same conditions.
