Carbon footprint certification 'first' for roofing products

Marley Eternit’s roofing products have received carbon footprint certification from the Carbon Trust

The carbon footprint certification applies to all Marley Eternit’s roofing and profiled sheeting products.

The certification quantifies the amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases emitted in the production and use of the roofing material, including the manufacture, transportation, preparation and usage right through to its final disposal.

Sarah Harding of Marley Eternit said: ‘We recognise that investment in carbon measurement enables customers to make more informed choices. The carbon footprint certification of our roofing and profiled sheeting products also builds on a long-standing commitment to measuring our environmental performance.’
