LIGHTING DESIGNER
Gradus Lighting

CLIENT
The Cathedral canons

PRODUCT USED
BLV long-life dichroic lamps of 50W and 12V. The main part of the chandelier used GLS filament candle lamps

CHARACTERISTICS
The Prior’s Hall is a 19th-century room with a medieval ante-room, formed within part of the monastic buildings attached to the cathedral church. It is used for meetings and
conferences by members of the public. Gradus Lighting consultants were called in to provide a design that would increase the level of task lighting and eradicate ugly shadows cast on the wall by the existing lighting

SPECIAL PROPERTIES
Gradus refurbished the existing chandelier, which now has an upper brass globe with three spotlights to direct light onto the walls
