Sophia is CAD business manager at IT solutions provider, Jigsaw Sophia joined Jigsaw in 2008, after graduating from the University of Derby, with a first class honours degree in Architectural Technology & Digital Innovation and a Diploma in Professional Practice. She also received the (CIAT) Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists Award for Outstanding Achievement as the Highest Graduating Honours Degree Student in Architectural Technology. At Jigsaw Sophia is a technical consultant, proactively driving the introduction of emerging 3D visualisation and sustainable technologies into the AEC market, with particular focus on Building Information Modelling. Entrenched in 3D workflow, she is fully trained to deliver and guide on Architectural issues such as Green design and integrated technologies like BIM. As part of Jigsaw’s dedicated online resource, Sophia provides AEC professionals with sector specific news, reviews, a regular blog and technology updates. Sophia’s industry experience includes Savills (new regional headquarters for international property consultants), Highcross, (a 50,000 sq m retail extension and a major refurbishment of existing malls and entrances to the Shires Shopping Centre), and the Mall of Scandinavia, (landmark 100,000 sq m retail development at the new National Stadium Complex).
