Bridge of Discovery, Creswell Crags, Derbyshire by OMI Architects

In 2009, OMI Architects completed a new museum adjacent to Creswell Crags gorge

Separated from the site by a stream, the Bridge of Discovery acts as a prelude to the Crags and museum. The bridge is a repeating assembly of horizontal and vertical timber sections that interlock to create a homogenous form, and was constructed using sustainable materials fabricated off-site. Platforms and viewing slits in the deck and sides provide modulation and variety.
Cost: £48,000
