Sketch contest longlist revealed

The AJ can reveal the 41-strong longlist in the AJ/Saint-Gobain Sketch competition

The longlist was selected from more than 400 entries submitted into this year’s sketching competition.

‘Habitation’ was this year’s theme, with entrants asked to explore different ways in which we make our houses, neighbourhoods and cities our own.

The shortlist will be released in this week’s issue with the winners announced at a special event on 26 February.

This year’s jury

Mark Allen, Technical Development Manager and qualified architect, Saint-Gobain UK
Rory Olcayto – AJ Deputy Editor
Paul Middleton – Architect, Winner of the first AJ Sketch Prize
Chris Dyson – Chris Dyson Architects, known for his bespoke London Homes
George Saumarez Smith – Adam Architecture, and a renowned draughtsman
