Safe as houses

You may think that being an architect is a pretty cool, edgy kind of profession.

But not according to Meg Matthews, self-styled interior designer, ex-wife of Noel Gallagher and darling of the gossip columns. Asked in the Observer about her taste in men, she said: 'I choose wayward men. I got engaged to an armed robber after Noel. He was on the run and I went with him. Why? Why not choose a banker or an architect?' Maybe if she did, they would steer her away from such past crimes as installing a fluorescent pink light reading 'Bollocks' in her stairwell.
