Rude awakening – 11.05.07

Having given many a well-received slideshow on the OAP home circuit, Astragal is painfully aware of the challenges of giving a presentation. Only last week yours truly received a thick ear from Mrs Astragal for letting an ‘indiscreet’ holiday snap slip into one of his improving lectures. It was with some sympathy then, that Astragal watched a poor sap repeat the gaffe in a much more technologically advanced manner at the excellent Velux Daylight in Architecture Symposium. All had gone well with the ‘PowerPoint’ device and the chairman was happily summing up at the end of a long day, until an uninvited pop-up appeared: a scantily-clad young lady with an alluring smile and the title ‘Most clicked this month: Playboy Playmate of the Month’. Crikey! Blissfully unaware, the chair continued until a colleague alerted him. And to a roomful of sniggers and embarrassed winces he let out the slightly unconvincing cry: ‘Gosh! It’s not my computer!’.
