RMJM lands Chinese business campus contract

RMJM has won the contract to design a business campus in Suzhou, China

The client, the Suzhou Industrial Park Education Development Investment Company has awarded the firm the contract to design a campus to house advanced teaching facilities as well as incubation units to aid graduates become entrepreneurs.

To be called the Public Academy, it is the firm’s first higher-education campus in China. It will be located in the Du Shu Hu higher education district of Suzhou, which is located approximately one hour from Shanghai.

The 120,000 m2 campus will provide educational facilities for undergraduates and graduates, a professional development centre for incubation research units capable of supporting manufacturing onsite.

Work is expected to be complete in 2012.
