Revealed: £20k cost of Oldham case

Last month, after a number of lengthy hearings, former ARB board member George Oldham received a slapped wrist over the infamous leaked email in which he referred to Stephen Lawrence Trust candidates as ‘the ethnics’

Despite battling the board’s Professional Complaint Committee, the 73-yeard old was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct as a result of the gaffe last February (AJ 22.02.2012).

The cost of the action so far to the ARB’s regular fee payers - £20,288.79. And with further moves possible the figure may yet go up.
