Approved ground source heat pump framework supplier Dimplex has welcomed the government's announcement that grants of up to 50% are now available to the public sector for the installation of microgeneration technologies under the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2.

From 1st April 2008, the previous grant cap of 35% of system costs has been increased to 50% to make it even more attractive for schools, charities and other not-for-profit organisations to 'go green' and reduce their carbon footprint. For ground source heat pumps, the grants can contribute to the capital costs, the ground works and the commissioning of the system.
