Roofing specialist Cembrit Blunn has launched a range of ventilation products as a supplement to itscement and natural roofing slates.
The vents have been specifically deigned to correspond with current mandatory requirements and complement the aesthetic of Cembrit Blunn tiles. They are manufactured to match the profile, ridge design, tile size and surface texture of a roof and are colour matched to blend discreetly with the roof slates.
In order to withstand the UV radiation, temperature fluctuations and general weathering that roof
elements are subjected to, a special coating has been added to the
ventilators.
Despite numerous guidelines, roof ventilation is often inadequate. To make its products easily
accessible, Cembrit Blunn has designed the range so that it can be applied to almost any roof and fulfill Building Regulation requirements.
Ventilation is important and the use of air vents encourages internal air circulation – replacing humid conditions, which are the ideal habitat for mould, fungi, dust mites and other micro-orgainisms to grow and develop, with dry air, which is also cheaper to heat.
A range of traditional low cost cowl or 'bump' and low-profile 'in-line' vents is available.
