Northumbria Police Authority invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and resourced Professional Consultant Teams.
The Contracting Authority requires the appointment of a Specialist Architectural Design Team (Lead) Package to include Architectural Design, Quantity Surveying, Building Services (M&E) Engineering, Structural / Civil Engineering, Landscape Design, Specialist Ballistics Engineering, and CDM Coordinator roles for a five year contract. It is anticipated that one of the above disciplines will act as Lead Consultant.
Expressions of Interest from multi-disciplinary organisations are invited but those from individual disciplines will not be considered.
The contract is to cover design services for a single project and it is not intended to include any other project for Northumbria Police Authority. The project comprises the delivery of a new Police Firearms Training Facility, and the contract is to include Feasibility Studies and Technical Site Appraisals, together with full Design Team Package which includes all the necessary specialist disciplines, and CDM Coordinator services.
Total quantity or scope:
The scope of the contract will include all Design and Project Management services as described in the Royal Institute of British Architects “Plan of Work 2007” (stages A to L inclusive).
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 600 000 and 900 000 GBP.
DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION:
Duration in months: 60 (from the award of the contract).
Other particular conditions to which the performance of the contract is subject:
Service Providers must clearly demonstrate extensive and recent experience in the design, coordination and implementation of police firearms training facilities to meet relevant regulations and requirements.
