Middlesex uni launches BIM course

Middlesex University has launched a postgrad course on BIM management

With the upsurge in BIM, partly caused by the government’s requirement for all centrally procured projects to be BIM by 2016, comes a requirement for further training in the management of projects.

This course from Middlesex University aimed at architects, engineers, contractors and project managers, was developed as a direct response to industry need.

Starting in October 2013, the MSc in Building Information Modelling Management will look at the BIM issues formed by technology, research and management.

Charles Rich, who has worked on developing the course said: ‘I have been delivering design for more years than I can remember, BIM is a process driven environment where management is essential. So last year I got together with the University to develop this course which is practical, work based and is delivered in a collaborative environment which is so essential to the successful implementation of BIM.’
