Paul Archer Design: Jinadal Pavilion, Barnes, London

Paul Archer Design: Jinadal Pavilion, Barnes, London

This meditation pavilion, for client Rajat and Kavita Jindal, is at the end of a large garden and is conceived as a set of four exterior walls that are not joined, but which shield the glass within. This creates a private but open space and a small walled courtyard. What really catches the eye is the multi-purpose nature of the space within. A large timber storage wall contains a foldaway bed and desk, to transform the space from one of relaxation to one of labour or sleep.
