Woods Bagot updates Lutyens' Grosvenor House Apartments

Woods Bagot has been appointed to convert the Edwin Lutyens-designed Grosvenor House Apartments in Park Lane, central London.

The firm has been signed up by developer the SPARC Group to transform the Lutyens building, which was constructed between 1912 and 1918, into a 'super-deluxe apartment hotel'.

Woods Bagot director David Tregoning said: 'The Grosvenor House Apartments is a real icon of early 20th century luxury in London.

'We are committed to making it the very best, setting new standards for hospitality in London.'

Construction is already under way on the conversion, and the project is expected to be completed towards the end of 2008.
