Profits and turnover dipped at Wilkinson Eyre for the year to the end of March 2013
Turnover at the London-based architecture firm fell to £9.1million for the 12 months to 31 March. Profit before tax was down 8.5 per cent to £1.5million over the period.
The year’s financial performance was impacted mainly by a drop in income from China, South East Asia, which dropped by 57 per cent to £988,000.
Australian turnover for the practice, which earlier this slipped four places in the AJ100 rankings to 35th position, was also down 80 per cent to £73,000.
However, turnover from UK which made up around three quarters of the firm’s business, was up 4 per cent to £7.03m. Turnover from North America and the rest of the world was also up.
Since the end of the financial year, the firm has won two high profile contracts including the design of the AUS $1 billion Barangaroo resort tower in Sydney (pictured), Australia, and detailed design on the refurbishment of Giles Gilbert Scott’s iconic Battersea Power Station in south London.
