Wilkinson Eyre and Horden Cherry Lee submit mixed-use Temple scheme

  • Comment
Wilkinson Eyre and Horden Cherry Lee have submitted this mixed-use project next to Temple Station in central London for planning.

The scheme, backed by developer Land Securities, will provide two new buildings on the 3.3 acre island site bounded by the Strand, Arundel Street and Temple Place.

The first is a 58,000m2 office block to the north of the site and the other is a residential and hotel building that will deliver a new 5-star 98-bedroom hotel and 151 residential units, as well as retail space and restaurants.

Land Sec head of development Colette O’Shea said: ‘Our proposals will transform the existing site from an uninspiring monolithic office block to a thriving new commercial and residential hub, which will deliver long term benefits to the area by providing investment, the highest quality space and a welcoming environment for residents, workers, shoppers and visitors.’
