What an elegant dustbin…

Last night, (Weds 12 March) Patel Taylor’s Essex University Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall in Colchester won a Civic Trust Award after judges described it as ‘elegant’.

Which is all rather embarrassing for our future king, as Charles – who last month described the building as a 'dustbin' – happens to be a patron of… wait for it… The Civic Trust.

Anyone got a cloth to wipe that egg off ol' Big Ears' face?

See Patel Taylor director Andrew Taylor’s defence of the building in this week’s issue.
