Edinburgh-based Reiach and Hall has a double chance of winning the £25,000 Andrew Doolan Award for Scotland’s best building, after two of its projects were named on the seven-strong shortlist.

The firm’s Art Faculty at St Andrews and its Pier Arts Centre in Orkney are both finalists in the contest, which boasts a bigger prize fund than the Stirling Prize
